In a painful journey this past weekend I drove through all of my favorite fishing areas and never got to wet a line. We drove up to the Twin Cities late last week and then up to the Battle Lake/Ottertail Lake area for a family wedding during the weekend. This meant that we also drove through the Brainerd Lakes area on our way up to the wedding. My father-in-law encouraged me to leave my equipment in his boat because he would tow it up for the wedding weekend. And then he decided not to bring his boat! Truthfully, we had a TON going on all weekend and it would have been tough to get out on the water. Nonetheless it was awfully hard driving by so much awesome water. The lakes up there were glassy, calm as we drove by and looked very inviting! Hopefully, I will be able to get on the water soon, it has been too long!
